Production capacity doubled

The new line supplied by Sacmi to the Del Conca Group to expand its Tennessee facility became operational in early December last year.

This new investment followed the same principles as the initial installation: continuous and modular grinding, pressing with rapid mould change system, Nuova Sima storage and sorting systems, and Eurofilter purification systems.

To meet the needs of the American market in terms of products and environmental sustainability, hightonnage presses were installed to expand the size range along with an EKO kiln with self-recovering burners. This firing system delivers numerous technological advantages along with lower flue gas flow

rates for the same levels of output.

Sacmi also supplied a new supervision system based on the current Industry 4.0 philosophy, a major focus area for Del Conca USA.
