EPD Italian ceramic tilesThe sector-level EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) that has accompanied the production of Italian Confindustria Ceramica member companies on the markets since 2015 has been updated.

An EPD is an independently certified and verified environmental declaration that provides clear and comparable information regarding the environmental performance of a product throughout its entire life-cycle in accordance with standard ISO 14025.

In addition to being a useful technical and informative tool, the EPD makes sustainability a strategic factor for the competitiveness of the sector at international level. In fact, it integrates with the latest building industry rating schemes (LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, HQE) which serve to certify the sustainability of buildings according to a series of qualitative and quantitative criteria.
