Italy the guest of honour at the BODW Business of Design Week | by Cristina Faedi
From 4 to 9 December 2017, Hong Kong will be hosting the BODW Business of Design Week, the most important annual appointment for Hong Kong’s design and architecture community and an event that attracts architects, designers and interior designers from throughout the ASEAN region. In 2017 Italy will be the guest of honour, and in recognition of the event’s growing importance within the design world in recent years the Italian Trade Agency ITA has signed an agreement with BODW to host a series of promotional initiatives. In 2017 this includes a week-long exhibition entitled “Italy Makes a Difference”, organised by ADI in collaboration with the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, Federlegno, Confindustria Ceramica and CNAPPC (Italian National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscapers and Conservationists) devoted to Italian design and architecture, along with a “Ceramics of Italy” B2B workshop. On 7 December Italian ceramic tile producers will have a chance to meet trading partners from the world of interior design and architecture from Hong Kong, Australia, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, New Zealand and Vietnam. A total of eight companies will be taking part in the meetings: Altaeco-Ceramica Vogue, Ceramica Sant’Agostino, Ceramiche Caesar, Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola, Monocibec-Gruppo Fincibec, Florim Ceramiche, Mirage and Panariagroup Industrie Ceramiche.
