Kempinski Hotels, founded in the late nineteenth century, has succeeded in establishing itself as a globally renowned brand by creating unique establishments in the most glamorous locations while preserving the finest local traditions. With its portfolio of historic hotels, luxury resorts, business hotels and spas, Kempinski hospitality is synonymous with five-star holidays and luxury accommodation.
The Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is situated in Langsuan, an upscale neighbourhood of the Thai capital that many countries have chosen as the location for their embassies, and set within a green oasis that extends out from Lumphini Park. The close proximity to the large urban park allows guests to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable break away from the chaos of the city, a unique accommodation experience that ensures the utmost well-being. With its honeycomb structure tower and sinuous lines, this iconic hotel stands out dramatically against the Bangkok skyline. Inside, the soaring lobby reveals vaulted ceilings and lush tropical vegetation. The refined and elegant interior design offers a blend of European taste and traditional Thai style coupled with opulent materials and furnishings.
The local practice P49 Deesign successfully delivered high quality interior design solutions tailored to the architectural context. Italian excellence takes pride of place with the choice of the Vintage porcelain tile series from Settecento Manifattura Ceramica. This elegant glazed tile with a decorative wood effect was used for the entire floor space in the entrance, lobby and bar area. The collection is produced using the latest digital decoration technologies capable of recreating the timeless allure and natural beauty of inlaid floors made from different types of wood, each with their own distinctive aesthetic qualities. Produced by traditional craft workshops, these types of surfaces graced the interiors of prestigious homes with their various installation patterns and harmonious contrasts of different wood shades. In the Kempinski Hotel, the Vintage collection was used to create a floor with a powerful aesthetic impact consisting of rectified modules measuring 47.8×47.8 cm and selected in the colour Oak in tribute to the surrounding natural environment. The surface reproduces intersecting inlays with a warm and welcoming old-fashioned flavour that blends in harmoniously with the architectural environment and furnishings and extends seamlessly onto the outdoor terraces, all of which overlook lush tropical gardens. The porcelain also coordinates effectively with glass, metal, wood panelling and decorative elements to create a striking visual backdrop.
Thanks to its meticulous choice of finishes, decorations and furnishings, the Kempinski Hotel offers welcoming spaces where guests can take refuge from the chaotic pace of the city and recharge their batteries.
