The PerovSky residential complex in Moscow, Europe’s largest city with a population of almost 13 million, is located close to the large Terletsky Park not far from the Shosse Entuziastov metro station.
This strategic leafy location at the edge of the city but with convenient access by metro or car is one of the keys to the success of a project that has seen almost all the apartments sold within one year of completion.
The project is the work of architecture firm ADM and was commissioned by the real estate company MR Group, one of the city’s three large property developers.
The PerovSky residential complex extends over a 37,800 sqm area with a 239-space underground car park. It consists of three 23-storey towers connected by a low building, a kind of large lobby referred to in architectural terms as a stylobate. This sumptuous, partly curved base houses the entrances to the towers and all the services including supermarkets, hairdressers, gyms, beauty centres, cafes and restaurants. It is also home to an innovative early development centre complete with dining room and dance space as well as a bedroom and playroom for each age group. The children aged from 4 to 6 follow English language courses to prepare them for primary school, while a video surveillance system allows parents to monitor their children online.
The lobby was designed by the SoNice interior workshop, while the three towers stand out for their façade finishes and their mythological names: Pegasus, Aquarius and Phoenix.
For the façade cladding of the stylobate, ADM Architects chose the Wood-Stock porcelain tile collection from Lea Ceramiche. The wood-effect texture of Wood-Stock, selected in the warm Honey Wood colour, recalls the natural appeal of oak and coordinates perfectly with the cladding of the neighbouring architectural volumes. The thin and ultra-light large porcelain laminate panels create a unique visual impact, while their flexibility enables them to adapt to the various design requirements including the slight curvature of the surface of the stylobate.
On a lighter note, we can end with some fun facts supplied directly by analysts from the client, the MR group: « More than 15% of the purchasers of PerovSky residence apartments belong to the star sign Taurus, followed by 13% Virgo and 13% Gemini. Buyers of apartments in the Pegasus tower are divided up as follows: Capricorn (17%), Ares (15%) and Cancer (14%); in the Phoenix tower: Leo (16%), Cancer (15%) and Pisces (12%); and in the Aquarius tower: Taurus (18%), Virgo (15%) and Libra (13%). » The analysts even provide a breakdown of apartment size and the age brackets of the buyers according to their star sign.
But after all, this sense of fun should hardly come as a surprise given that the buyers have all chosen to live on Shosse Entuziastov, or Enthusiasts Highway!
