In keeping with its corporate objectives and pioneering nature, Panariagroup chose System Ceramics as a major technology partner for the large-scale project to refurbish the plants at its Fiorano Modenese factory carried out during 2021. The two companies renewed their collaboration with a new and important supply contract for innovative solutions that guarantee the best performance in terms of production and business management.
The first project involved the installation of a Superfast 21000 press complete with cutting system and a feeding tower for the production of thin laminated porcelain slabs.
The centrepiece of the supply contract is one of System Ceramics’ flagship technologies: Superfast, the mouldless ceramic press which uses a single belt system to achieve unprecedented flexibility in production. With its advantages in terms of time, space and consequently cost, Superfast technology offers real benefits to ceramic producers pursuing sustainable development. It allows for instant production changeovers and enables excess raw materials from the cutting stage to be fully recycled.
The Fiorano Modenese plants also adopted new logistics solutions including LGVs and a slab sorting line from System Ceramics company Studio 1. The layouts for the slab processing stage were also completely reorganised.
