NAIVE WINS SPECIAL MENTION IN THE GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2017

The Naive Slimtech collection from Lea Ceramiche designed by Patrick Norguet has won the Special Mention in the “Materials and Surfaces” category
of the German Design Award 2017. The submissions were judged by an international jury for their uniqueness and technical and design solutions.
Made from ultrathin Slimtech porcelain laminate modules with a thickness of just 5.5 mm and a record size of 3m x 1m, Naive brings together design and technology, artisanship and industry, porcelain and glazes. It stands out for its almost three-dimensional surface texture created by an innovative glazebased
technology. The patterns reproduce a low-relief design, a web of lines that emphasises the sheer depth of the material and creates a floating effect that is pleasant to both the touch and the gaze. The German Design Award was presented in Frankfurt on 10 February during the exhibition Ambiente 2017.
