With its thirty years of history, eleven past editions and a total of more than 1700 submitted projects from all over the world, the Grand Prix architecture competition organised by Casalgrande Padana is once again open for submissions.
The twelfth Grand Prix award welcomes architecture projects completed between January 2016 and December 2021 that have used Casalgrande Padana porcelain stoneware slabs for floor and/or wall coverings in any area of public or private construction, whether indoors or outdoors, new build or renovation. The competition accepts projects carried out all over the world and rewards works that make the best use of the technical and aesthetic qualities of porcelain surfaces from Casalgrande Padana. The Grand Prix award provides an opportunity for discussion on the themes of architecture, design and technological innovation and is also an important occasion for taking stock of progress in the various fields of architectural design.
The results of each edition of the award are collected together in the prestigious Creative Book, produced and distributed in partnership with the authoritative international architecture magazine Casabella. In this publication, each winning project is fully illustrated and described in detail with the aim of promoting new avenues of research and experimentation, as well as documenting the evolution of ceramic products and their architectural applications.
