One of the UK’s best known and most exclusive interior design firms, Morgan Lovell specialises in the field of contemporary office spaces. From its two offices in London and the Thames valley town of Wokingham, the company takes on projects for premium customers throughout the UK. Founded in 1977 by John Morgan and Jack Lovell in Soho, London, Morgan Lovell is now part of the Morgan Sindall Group, a business with an annual turnover of more than £2 billion and a total workforce of 6,400 people.
The recently refurbished London office fully expresses the values of innovation embraced by the group. The interior design project creates an informal atmosphere and shared vision that make the workplace a pleasant place to be in. Separated by glass walls, the offices, work spaces and meeting areas in Noel Street, Soho are highly integrated, making the premises not just a functional, versatile and welcoming workplace but also an effective advertising showcase for the company’s style and business approach.
The floor coverings make a vital contribution to the atmosphere of the spaces, bringing aspects of rationality, flexibility and identity to both the architecture and interior design.
The porcelain tiled floors enhance the brightness of the offices and common spaces such as the coffee bar and bring a touch of Italian sophistication to the Soho location.
The tiles chosen by Morgan Lovell, latest-generation porcelain panels from Laminam’s I Naturali collection, boast LEED, Ecolabel and SASO certifications and stand out for their extraordinary dimensions and extra-small thickness of just 5 mm. Their fluid surfaces and unique textures deliver strongly material qualities and natural appeal.
The floor covering is the element that ensures homogeneity and spatial continuity between the offices and the meeting and socialisation spaces.
Installed with a simple but effective layout, the pale coloured tiles make for a bright, airy atmosphere, expanding the spaces and making them more pleasant and welcoming while bringing outstanding results in terms of lightness of form and colour consistency. The overall impact is one of concreteness and essentiality, reinforcing the sense of participation in a shared project.
The I Naturali series, chosen here in the Pietra di Savoia grey colour and a 1000×3000 mm size, is a unique collection that reproduces the visual impact of the most widely used natural materials while delivering superior technical performance and aesthetic quality.
